Moor history

With so many developments over the last few years we recently added an extra panel to our boards you can find on poolside.

In 2020 we installed four panels in our then poolside viewing room to show the history of our lovely pool, dating back from its days as a big puddle back in the late 19th century.

So much happened in the subsequent five years from 2020. We adapted during the pandemic and beyond to support our swimmers. Then in 2023 the concrete base needed repairing – its original installation having been back in 1912. Following this, from late 2024 to spring 2024 we had our major refurbishment to the centre as a whole including the pool surroundings.

So in late 2025  we added a new panel!

We’re very proud of our pool and how far it has come. Just having began as a puddle in the late 19th century, commitments and investments were made that continue to this day.

You can take a look at the panels in situ on poolside when you come for a swim.
